Did you know since October 2019, Google saw a massive fluctuation of the words ‘plant based diet‘ on their search engine. The huge hype came after the most talked about Netflix episode of The Game Changers which is about elite athletes, special ops soldiers and scientists discussing a way to live using a plant-based diet. Becoming vegan or following a plant-based diet is the hype these days but more for the health conscious minded.
Well, back in 2019, I debated to make a few changes and follow a plant-based ‘lifestyle‘. Easier said than done as I honestly didn’t know where to start. Apart from replacing milk for alternatives like soya and almond milk, and buying more products in the ‘free from’ section of the supermarket….the change almost came to a halt right there.
In order for me to make a change in time for my wedding (the idea was to make changes to help me lose weight) and move towards a plant-based diet, I needed to adhere to a certain criteria. It is important to note that there are a lot of hidden ingredients in foods. It is especially important to watch out for these if you are going to strive towards a change.
